Year 6 Camp

Camp Angahook Reflections - 2025
By Rayan Vimal
As I stepped out of my house and walked into my dad’s car, I was excited because I was going to Year Six Camp and I knew it would be really fun there.
Once I reached school I saw my two friends, one behind my car and one in front. We stepped out of the car and walked to the hall as we were walking and talking to each other about the camp and soon we got to the hall knowing that almost everyone would be there ready to head out.
Soon after waiting for a while, everyone was there and we were ready to get on the bus, so the teachers marked the roll and all the students walked to their bus and we departed Shepparton and drove to Anglesea, Great Ocean Road on the bus.
I was sitting next to Tej, in front of me was Dhyan behind me was Simret on the other row of seats beside me was Gagana and behind him was Rian. After a long time of waiting we reached the camp Angahook.
We went to the hall and they told us everything we needed to know. Right after that we did our first activity which for us was rock climbing and after that we went to the beach for a walk. We all had fun doing that then we had dinner and went to sleep.
The next day we had breakfast and went to our next activity which was Archery, then we went on the big swing and the last activity was low ropes. Next we had lunch. Once we finished, we went to the beach and did some activity's and later we had a swim in the ocean and we went back to have dinner and we ended that day with a disco party.
On the last day we packed up everything and had I little bit of free time until we hopped on the bus and left.

On the first day we were all waiting in the hall for everyone to arrive so we could go.it was all the year 6s going to camp, and once everyone arrived, we left.
The camp was about 3 hours away from Shepparton, so it was a long drive for us to arrive. We left school at about 8 am and arrived at about 1pm and we all got settled into our cabins.
We started off the camp with doing activity's my group did rock-climbing and the flying fox the, we had to go rock climbing to be able to go on the flying fox because it was connected.
Once we finished that we went in the hall and did some little activities, after that we went on a sunset beach walk it was so nice.
On the second day we did a lot, I can't even remember the order. We did a scavenger hunt and the prize for the winners was soft drinks and chocolate. We also went to the beach again and did some more activities like tug of war and some other random things but we didn't even swim in the beach. We swam in this little lake and it kind of stank and we also did the giant swing and it was so fun, I want to go on it againnnnnn. We also did low ropes it was boring but I can't lie, I had fun. We also did archery it was fun and we also had the talent show and the disco which was really fun and funny.

As I got out of the car, I knew it was going to be a fun journey coming.
After we put are bags under the bus, we got on and started are journey. When we arrived at camp Angahook, we got are bags and went to the hall, where they told us our cabins. I only had 2 of my friends in my cabin, Simret and Chris.
A bit later my group did an activity, it was Archery. Once we finished, everyone went to the beach for a walk, everyone had fun. Later when we arrived back at camp the workers there made us spaghetti and then it was bedtime. It took a while for me to fall asleep but after I did sleep. I slept well!
Next morning, my group had to set up the breakfast stuff. After breakfast was done, we did our last 3 activity's that were, Rock climbing/zipline, low ropes and giant swing. Once we finished everything, we went to the beach and did some games, next we went back to the camp, into the hall and had a disco party.
Once that finished, everyone was tired and went to bed early. On the third day we had breakfast and some free time, then we left.
