Wakakirri National Winners Announcement

On Wednesday 15 October, all Level 5 and 6 students who participated in Wakakirri for 2025 attended a National Award celebration in the gym. 

Students gathered to eat lots of fun food and watch the National Award results, sitting…..hoping that Jells Park Primary School would be called out as a winner!

After a long-anticipated announcement, Jells Park Primary School was declared a National Award Winning Wakakirri Production for ‘an outstanding story-dance on the theme of mind over matter, raising awareness, and excelling in the Performing Arts’.

This award recognises all the hard work and commitment our teachers and students put into producing an outstanding, national award-winning production. 

We would like to congratulate all students involved who were on stage, or behind the scenes, your teamwork, resilience and commitment was exceptional.

Congratulations to our Wakakirri Coordinators, Sue Ward and Carla Wyllie for creating and driving another incredible production and experience for our students. 

We look forward to hearing your expertise in the area of developing outstanding story dance productions at the Victorian Teachers Conference in November.
