District Cross Country

On Tuesday 20th May 71 students from grades 4-6 competed in the Seaside District Cross Country event at Dendy park. The day started out a little fresh but as the sun shone the grass dried and we were in for some great competitive races. The day kicked off with the 2KM 9/10 year old events. Both girls and boys races were hotly contested with some close finishes. Congratulations to Ollie Betts and Ted Siapantas for finishing in the top ten.

3KM is the race distance for the 11 year olds and the 12/13 year olds. With the course dried out we were in for some fast and competitive races. Congratulations to Bruce Szmalko and Sofia Emilson who have all made it through to the Kingston Division event. 

Brighton primary School finished 6th overall.

Kingston Division Cross Country

The students who progressed from District Cross Country then competed in the Kingston Division Cross Country event at Cornish College. The weather was perfect for fast times and they were delivered. They all had strong finishes and should be very proud of their efforts.
