Careers Day 2025

Inspiring Futures at Tarneit Senior College
On 26 June 2025, students at Tarneit Senior College took an important step toward shaping their future pathways during our highly anticipated Careers Day 2025. The event brought together industry professionals, university representatives, and vocational education providers to inspire and inform students about the diverse range of career opportunities available to them.
The day was filled with engaging panel discussions and meaningful one-on-one conversations, offering students valuable insights into industries such as healthcare, information technology, engineering, business, education, and the trades.
A highlight of the day was the Career Workshops for Year 10 students. Each student attended two sessions featuring a dynamic panel of speakers from a variety of fields, including healthcare, social work, information technology, engineering, trades, law, education, and business. These industry experts shared their personal career journeys, professional insights, and reflections on how careers continue to evolve in today’s world. Students had the chance to ask questions and gain firsthand perspectives from those with real-world experience. We extend our sincere thanks to all the guest speakers, facilitators, and support staff whose time and contributions made the workshops such a success.
Another key feature of the day was the Careers Expo, which offered all Tarneit Senior College students the opportunity to explore a broad range of post-school options in one convenient setting. The expo served as a one-stop shop for information, with representatives from Universities, TAFEs, the Police Force, Defence Force, Ambulance, and Fire Rescue Services on hand to answer questions and provide valuable resources. Students engaged directly with exhibitors, collected materials, and gained greater clarity about their future education and career pathways.
Careers Day at Tarneit Senior College is more than a single event — it’s a springboard for ambition and opportunity. We are proud to support our students as they navigate their aspirations and take steps toward their future goals.
