Sydney Cross Country Championships

Congratulations to all our runners who competed at the Sydney Cross Country Championships held recently at the Sydney Equestrian Centre. In true cross country style, the event was held in wet and soggy conditions. What started out with runners competing in relatively dry conditions turned into sporadic and torrential rain for the final few events. Our 12s and 13s battled through these difficult conditions. Congratulations to all, and especially the following runners who have qualified for the NSW All Schools Championships

  • U12 Girls Izzy Allan
  • U14 Girls Imogen D’Apice
  • U17 Boys Cooper Penman and Lachlan Brinckley

NSW All Schools Swimming

Congratulations to Solomon Freeman for his recent outstanding swimming results at the NSW All Schools Championships, competing against the best swimmers from every school in NSW. A versatile and extremely talented swimmer who has an enormous training ethic, Solomon’s results were:

  • 3rd 100 Backstroke
  • 2nd 400 Freestyle
  • 2nd 200 Freestyle

These results will see Solomon Represent NSW at the Australian Schools Swimming Championships.

Solomon was also joined by Beau Griggs, Cooper Sanders and Lachlan Brinckley in the Open 4 x 50m Freestyle relay where they came a very credible 5th, only beaten by private schools who run their own swimming programs.

Basketball

Congratulations to our Open Boys Basketball Team who competed in the Shire Shield Competition. This competition was held over a preliminary qualification day where our boys went undefeated in some tough battles. The team went onto the Regional Finals on Monday where they went to another level and managed their energy levels, emotional investment and again kept their composure through some tense moments to again be undefeated.

Congratulations to these boys for being the Shire Shield Regional Champions.

Lincoln Blatchford, Cooper White, Bayley Sleeman, Hudson Peterson, Christian Di Noia, Harry McDonnell, Lachlan Brinckley, Archie Riccio and Nicholas Benfield.

Surf Life Saving

Congratulations to Dane Sutton who has been selected in the Australian Youth Surf Life Saving Team. A wonderful accomplishment after winning the Australian U17 Ironman Championship.
