World Maths Day

March 26th was World Maths Day. One of our Stage 3 maths groups celebrated by participating in the global World Maths Day competition. Over 48 hours, our Year 5 and Year 6 teams competed with more than 10 million participants from 160 countries. They each answered 20 rounds of live maths questions which increased in difficulty as they progressed. Points were scored for every correct answer and the average score per team determined their rankings.

I am very pleased to say that our Year 6 team ranked 1st in Australia and 6th in the world! What a fantastic achievement! Congratulations to all involved.
