Halfway Through Term 1: A Look Back at Our Learning

It’s hard to believe we’re halfway through Term 1 already! The past weeks have been filled with rich learning experiences, personal growth, and plenty of memorable moments.

Literacy: Persuasive Power

Students have been honing their persuasive writing skills, crafting compelling arguments to convince various audiences of their point of view. Through engaging literacy rotations, we also explored literature as a lens to understand different perspectives, helping students build empathy and appreciate diverse viewpoints.

Numeracy: Fractions and Multiples

In Numeracy, we tackled comparing and ordering fractions, using concrete materials to build a solid understanding of these concepts. We also delved into multiples, with hands-on activities that made abstract ideas more tangible and fun.

Student Voice and Leadership

We celebrated risk-taking as students bravely gave speeches to persuade their peers to vote for them for the Student Agency Team (S.A.T). Congratulations to Spencer, Max, and Lexie for earning their spots and stepping up as leaders!

Inspiration from St Kilda Football Club

We were lucky to have representatives from St Kilda Football Club visit our class to talk about what it takes to be a professional athlete and a leader. Students asked insightful questions and walked away inspired by stories of resilience, teamwork, and determination.

Good Luck for NAPLAN!

With NAPLAN just around the corner, we want to wish all our students the best of luck. You’ve worked incredibly hard, and we are so proud of your effort and perseverance. Remember to breathe, trust in your abilities, and know that your best is always enough.
