Hello from the College Alumni Program

Why do we have an alumni program at our school?

Northern Bay College believes in a robust school community that extends beyond the school gates. We have such a breadth and depth of talent in our alumni. Bringing back ex-students to school, to share their career journey, is always engaging, and inspiring for our current cohort of students.

Speed Careers Session

Small groups of year tens, ten different alumni…. And go!

In the second year, our Speed Careers session as a part of Careers Week, was a great success, with alumni from a wide variety of careers and industries coming back. 

Discussions ranged from post-school study, career paths, how to manage parental expectations and favourite ice-cream flavours. The career conversations were enlightening for our students and we think there’s nothing better than having real-world career role models.

VM Careers Session

As a part of Careers Week, we also held an alumni career chat with our VM students. 

We welcomed back Luke, Electrician and “Kings of Electrical” business owner, Michael, Building Designer and “Drafting by Design” business owner, Lachlan, dog attendant, Hope, disability support worker, Michaela, student, to speak to our current VM students.

Topics ranged from people and communication skills, how to get a job, and forging a career path.

Our alumni program can only run with the support of our vibrant alumni, and we thank them for giving back!
