St Aug’s students Shine in Moana Jr
St Augustine’s is delighted to celebrate four of our talented students who are taking the stage in Echuca‑Moama Theatre Company’s upcoming production of Moana Jr.
Willow N brings gloriously glittering giant crab Tamatoa to life while Ayla C, Eden C and Jasmine G are adding their talent to the vibrant ensemble.
They join a cast of 43 young performers who have been rehearsing since July to bring this colourful, energetic and heart‑filled adventure to life from Friday 23rd October for five shows only!
Director Molli Johns said the show is a wonderful opportunity for local young performers to grow their skills both on and off stage - “You won’t want to miss this show. With colourful costumes, vibrant choreography, familiar songs and lots of laughs, Moana Jr is a celebration of young talent and the magic of live theatre”.
Packed with spectacular songs, high‑energy dance numbers and stunning costumes, Moana Jr follows the courageous Moana as she journeys across the Pacific to save her island - discovering friendship, bravery and the power to shape her own destiny, along the way.
Tickets are available now through Echuca Paramount:

Purple Day
Thank you to everyone who joined in the Purple Fun on the last day of Term 3 to help raise a fabulous $663.05 for The Gift Kyabram. We appreciate your support to raise awareness and valuable funds for people in our Community living with cancer.
Caritas Courage Cup
Our annual Caritas Courage Cup football match took place under beautiful skies at the Kyabram Rec on the last day of Term 3. What a great afternoon of sport, fun and team spirit.
Teams consisted of both students and staff, with the St Augustine's Angels led by Charlie and Mrs Downie and the Ky Bombers led by Charli and Mr Carver. After a fun and competitive game, the Angels came away with the win! A shout out to Wil for Best on Ground and Gemma for the umpires award.
While the scoreboard may not have been the main focus, and the skill levels a little questionable at times, the enthusiasm and determination shown by everyone on the field certainly made up for it! There was plenty of fun, laughter and a great team spirit throughout the game.
A big thank you to the umpires, coaches and everyone who oranised the event and those who participated.
St Augustine's Got Talent
Our students took the stage last term for St Augustine's Got Talent, and what a fantastic night it was! The evening was a wonderful celebration of the incredible talent, creativity and confidence of our young people. From singing and piano to dance and comedy, there was much to enjoy and our judges certainly had a very difficult job.
Congratulations to every student who performed. It takes courage to step onto the stage and share your talents. You should all be very proud of yourselves.
Our award recipients on the night were:
Outstanding Performance Award - Willow
Showstopper Award - Rosalea
Rising Star Aard - Eva and Jasmin
Most Entertaining Award - Lilijana and Maddi
Creative Talent Award - Tyson
Thank you to our judges, helpers, families and everyone who came along to support our students and make the night such a success.
Sausage Sizzle for Headspace
Last term, our Year 12 VCE VM students held a BBQ fundraiser in support of mental health.
As part of their learning, students researched issues affecting Australian youth, before choosing a cause they felt passionate about supporting. They chose mental health and were thrilled to raise close to $700 for Headspace.
The students spent the day preparing 450 sausages and 200 zooper doopers, which they sold to a very hungry crowd at lunchtime.
This fundraiser would not have been possible without the incredible support of some of Kyabram's local businesses, who very kindly donated bread and sausages for the cause. Thank you to Fitzgerald's Farm Fresh Meats, Kyabram Main Street Butchers, Kyabram Bakery and Kyabram Baker's Delight for their generous donations.
SOLE Stars
Congratulations to our Term 4 Week 2 SOLE Stars.
