Welcome back to Term 4! I hope everyone enjoyed a restful break and is feeling refreshed and ready for the busy term ahead.
Term 4 is always a significant time in the life of a school, particularly for our senior students as they approach the end of their secondary schooling. Our Year 12 students are now entering their final weeks at St Augustine’s, balancing their final classes, revision and preparation for their upcoming examinations. This week, we farewell this cohort as they conclude their schooling journey with us.
It is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the growth, achievements and experiences of our Year 12 students throughout their time at St Augustine’s. We wish each of them every success as they prepare for their examinations and take their next steps, whether that be through further study, university offers, apprenticeships, employment or other exciting opportunities. Every student’s pathway will look different, and we look forward to seeing the many ways our young people contribute to their communities and pursue their passions in the years ahead. We thank them for being part of our school community and wish them all the very best for this next chapter.
We also wish our Year 11 students who are fast-tracking VCE subjects every success as they undertake their examinations. Their commitment to their studies and willingness to challenge themselves is commendable and we encourage them to approach this period with confidence, preparation and a positive mindset.
Our school calendar is certainly packed this term, with a range of exciting events, excursions, camps and learning opportunities on the horizon. These experiences provide valuable opportunities for students to extend their learning beyond the classroom, build connections with their peers and staff and create lasting memories. We look forward to sharing the many highlights of Term 4 with our community as the term progresses.
As we begin the final term of the year, I encourage all students to remain focused on their learning, embrace the opportunities available to them and continue to demonstrate the values that make St Augustine’s such a special community. I look forward to a positive and rewarding term for all.
