State Library of Victoria - Spring kids’ program: Tales We Treasure

The State Library of Victoria (SLV) will be running a Spring Holiday Program.  If you are looking for something to do over the holidays, take a train into the city, have a look around and then go to the SLV and get involved in their Holiday Program.  Events include free activities and some with entry fees.  See the program via this link - https://www.slv.vic.gov.au/stories/spotlight-collection/school-holiday-program

There will be craft activities, author talks, there are some free “do at home” activities, as well. 

Tales We Treasure celebrates the stories, memories and moments that shape us. 

Join singer-songwriter Josh Pyke for a special event of songs and storytelling, featuring his book These Long-Loved Things, created with illustrator Ronojoy Ghosh. Explore how treasured objects, people and memories make us who we are with Pocket House, where children can create their own mini house filled with things they love and treasure. 

Celebrate the milestone launch of the 10th book collaboration by beloved duo Jane Godwin and Anna Walker, ignite your creativity in hands-on craft activity hubs, and make memories of your own.

The holidays are the perfect time to have a look around for any school library books that might have been at home for a bit too long.  Please hunt around under the couches, under the beds, in the bookshelves and perhaps in the car, too.
