Looking Ahead to the End of Term

What a fantastic term it has been! It has been wonderful to see our students learning, growing and embracing so many opportunities. As we head into the final two weeks of Term 3, we have plenty of exciting events still to come.

District Athletics – Monday 8 September

Congratulations to the 53 students who have progressed to the District Athletics Carnival! Representing our school at this level is a wonderful achievement, and we are incredibly proud of their efforts. We wish all of our athletes the very best of luck on the day.

Planning Week

Next week is also our collaborative planning week. During this time, teachers work together to plan engaging learning sequences for Term 4. To allow this important planning to occur, each year level will attend all of their specialist classes on one day.

The planning schedule is:

  • Monday: Foundation
  • Tuesday: Years 5/6
  • Wednesday: Years 3/4
  • Thursday: Years 1/2
  • Friday: Specialists

SRC Pre-Loved Book Stall – Friday 11 September

Our Student Representative Council will be holding a Pre-Loved Book Stall to raise money for the Royal Children's Hospital. Students are invited to bring a gold coin donation and choose a pre-loved book to take home. We look forward to supporting this wonderful cause while helping books find new readers!

Final Week of Term

The last week of Term 3 will be full of fun and celebration!

On Thursday 17th September, students will enjoy a range of Footy Finals rotations, celebrating the excitement of the AFL Grand Final season.

On Friday 18th September, we'll finish the term with our School Disco, held during school hours and organised by Mrs Kate Tyson and our Performing Arts Captains.

This year's disco theme is "At the Movies". Students are welcome to dress as their favourite movie character or wear something inspired by the big screen. Costumes can be as simple or creative as you like—perhaps a favourite superhero, a Disney character, someone from Harry Potter, Toy Story, The Wizard of Oz, or even a movie-inspired colour theme. There is no need to purchase anything special, simple costumes using items from home are perfect.

A reminder that students will finish school at 2:30 pm on Friday 18 September for the end of Term 3.

We look forward to finishing the term with lots of fun and celebrating another successful term of learning together!
