News from Four/Five

Musicals

Last Friday, the 4/5/6 students went to Upper Yarra Secondary College to watch Upper Yarra’s school production “The Firebringer,” which was really funny.  We got seated in the middle of a row. Then we watched the first half, which was funny and good. Then we had a break, ate lunch, had a yummy sausage sizzle, and had fun play. P.S. The story was about how people discovered fire.   Archer

It was about people living in a cave and there was lots of yelling and they had to fight lots of bears and other animals and it was really cool.  The second part was about making stuff to fight the animals that was trying to fight them and a bear took someone on the stage and it bit his arm off and his leg and then it was finished.  We asked some questions after and we went back to school.   Arlo

Production Previews

We did a big practice of Madagascar. It was fun. When we, the foosas, went on, I still felt nervous even though there was no audience.

We sing “Showtime”, “Wild and Free” and “Foosa Hungry”. 

Foosa are an animal like coyotes.    Liliana

 I went to do a production practice, which went well, but it was so loud that we had to stop being loud.  I’m a foosa and we have to walk slowly around looking hungry searching for food.  Blake

Bookweek

I dressed up as Will Treaty from John Flanagan’s The Ranger’s Apprentice. When I got to school, we had a parade for all the classes; then I got an award for best dressed in year five.  Bennett

BOOK WEEK was on Wednesday, and everyone was in costume. I was Matilda, and the teachers from grade 3 were from Matilda too, and there were people from Harry Potter.  Maddi

I was going to be Gru from Despicable Me, but I couldn't find anything, so I went as a minion. I got my overalls and a black headband, a yellow shirt,then my mum bought a fluffy yellow headband from Kmart and the eyes were made from things we had at home. I had lots of fun as a Minion, including having my surprise character King Bob!

Hooptime

I was in the 5/6 all star team. In my group there was Parker V, Harry L, Cameron M, Noah V and Hudson T. We won one game but unfortunately lost the other games.  Noah

 We did hooptime and my team was Marlee, Eden, Annabelle, Taylor, Evie and Aleisha. Our first game was at 10:30 and the other team was the white  team and we thrashed them. Our   next game was at 10:30  and it was Yarra Glen and we won that too.  Then our grand final was at 12:56 and we wonnnnnnnn and we got a medal.   Marlee
