100 DAYS OF SCHOOL!!!!!

WOW!!!! Last week we celebrated our 100 Days of School!! HOW EXCITING!! The foundations have been absolutely amazing and smashing all their work, you would have thought they would have been at school longer than 100 days!

The Foundations had a wonderful Day celebrating! They counted to 100 in different ways and grouped different objects into 100! The Foundations created themselves as someone who is 100 and enjoyed eating some special party food with a disco to celebrate!! It was a great day by all, and quoted by Jackson, 'This is the best day of my life, Mrs B!!!'- that's when you know, it was a fun day!!!

Thank you to the Foundation parents for organising your 6 (100) year old's with some great costumes, and thank you for all your support, you have helped them along the way!

Book Week

This week we celebrated Book Week with a fun dress-up, and we loved seeing everyone's wonderful costumes! This week we read and looked at lots of Books, and with Mr Foley, the F/1/2's read the book 'We live in a bus', which was one of the shortlisted books this year! The students created their own buses and wrote about where they would go if they lived in a bus! The book is an excellent text about travelling to different places in Australia!

Maths

In Maths, we have been learning about Measurement! We started off by learning about things that are short and long, tall and small. In the classroom, we measured and compared different object sizes! One of the sizes we compared was the length of our arms. Next, we compared our heights!

We just started learning about how to measure Mass and when something is heavy or light. One of the things we did to start off our learning was find things in the classroom that were heavy and/or light and sort them into groups!
