Dear Parents/Carers and supporters of our greatest asset, our children,
Last Friday we celebrated our annual Book Week parade in the Pavillion. The energy and creative flair that was displayed is truly inspirational and a credit to the parents. Students proudly dressed in their favorite characters, bringing stories to life with a smile on their dial. Thank you to the staff for their dedication and enthusiasm, your efforts ensured this event ran smoothly and created a safe memorable experience for everyone.
The weather has not been the best over the last few days but the students have responded well to our inclement weather timetable. Hopefully it improves after the weekend, as our Junior students will be walking over to the Windridge Oval for their Athletics day on Monday. Students will participate in a variety of athletic events lead by staff and Grade 6 students. We wish them well and hope they enjoy the day. As always, we would like to encourage families to come along and support our Junior students on the day.
Many students visited the Martin Vale Dental Van this week. The dental staff were very busy with appointments, conducting not only checkups but follow up treatment plans throughout the 4 days they were on-site. I would like to thank the dental team for how accommodating and caring they were in providing a safe environment for the students. It is so important that experiences such as these are pleasurable ones.
We welcome Liz back on Monday, I am sure she is keen to see you all again. As a parting message, I would like to thank you all for being such a hospitable community. The opportunity to spend some time in your school has been a wonderful experience and I am grateful for the trust and engagement you all showed towards me as your Leader during my two weeks here. Your curiosity and kindness will not be forgotten, thank you. Enjoy the weekend, stay warm, dry and safe.
