Principal's Message

Dear families and friends,

I hope our weather begins to clear and we are able to tackle some of the jobs at home.

We were thrilled to welcome Michele Hayes to St Mary’s on Monday and Tuesday to work alongside Natalie Betts, providing coaching and support in Literacy. This is a wonderful opportunity to support our teachers who are new to the profession, while continuing to strengthen teaching and learning across our school. Ongoing professional learning and coaching are so important in ensuring we continue to grow as educators and, most importantly, support the growth of every student.

Blythe and I will continue to work closely with and mentor our newest teachers as they begin their careers. We are committed to creating a culture where we are always learning from one another, reflecting on our practice and growing together.

It has also been fantastic to see so much gardening and cooking happening across St Mary’s. Our amazing students who participated in Junior Chef were fabulous! A huge thank you to Barb for practising with our students, encouraging them and accompanying them to Sacred Heart College.

And the exciting news… onto Round 2! watch this space! I believe it’s Gnocchi!

This coming week is Science Week, and we are very excited about our upcoming whole-school excursion! It will be a wonderful opportunity for our students to explore, wonder, investigate and learn together outside the classroom.

Have the best weekend,

Gemma
