It is through our relationships with others- we come to know God.

None of us are perfect, in fact we are all imperfect – me especially! There have been many times when I have said things that have not always been helpful, especially when navigating the challenging task of raising children! There is one thing I  know  and that is, how sad I am when  things are just aren’t right in a relationship.

This is why forgiveness is such an important part of our humanity.

Pope Francis’s advice is practical; 

“If we wait too long, everything becomes more difficult. And there is a simple secret to heal the wounds and to break off the accusations: not to let the day end without apologizing to one another, without making peace between a couple, between parents and children, between brothers and sisters … between colleagues.

 If we learn to apologize immediately and to forgive one another, the wounds heal, the relationahip is strengthened.
