Upcoming Sport Dates

JERSEY UPDATE

Students who receive a jersey for any upcoming trial, gala day or interschool sport will be recorded as proof of this borrowing method. This will allow our school to continue to use these jerseys and have enough for all students to wear and represent our school proudly at the many sporting events we provide to all students. Once jerseys are washed and returned to the school office, our staff will mark that the jersey has been returned. Any jerseys not returned will incur replacement fee.

Please check the wardrobes at home and return any jerseys of any style (singlet, soccer jersey or footy jersey) which belongs to the school. Thank you for the cooperation with this matter.

Interschool Sport

Year 4 had a great day at interschool football last week as did stage 3 at the netball and european interschool event. It was such a fun day for peers and teachers to enjoy movement outdoors in a fun environment. Check out the fun they had below.  Please ensure you provide permission for your child to attend their next interschool sporting opportunity event. Any interschool sport occurring in April is now awaiting consent. 

Some of our Stage 3 students were invited to participate in a Netball/European handball Gala Day. The students had loads of fun and our teams won a few games. Well done for displaying great sportsmanship!

Below is a document for the Stage 3 level 1 interschool sport and how to trial for the team. Netball and Soccer Trials have now been completed. Please note that the note has been amended with a new trial date for level 1 oz tag due to the announcement of the additional public holiday. Please see the below note attached.

Representative Trials

We are progressing towards the end of our sporting trials for this term. Congratulations to Hugo H, Hudson S and Dennis L who all progressed to the MacKillop Swimming trial. This trial was a very quick turn around from last weeks Sydney trials. The Sydney trial saw much success with the following results:

Hugo H - 3rd in the IM, 4th in the backstroke and freestyle plus 6th in the butterfly 

Hudson S - 5th in the freestyle, 6th in the backstroke and butterfly

Dennis L -  5th in the breaststroke

These boys have already competed in the MacKillop Trial on April 1st just in time before the Easter break. 

Xavier attended the MacKillop hockey trials in Goulburn last week . Xavier and his family reported that the weather was appalling and felt like 1 degree with winds and rain. It was worth pressing on in the freezing weather when Xavier was announced in the MacKillop squad. Congratulations Xavier!

Next term we have the Boys Conference Touch Trials plus Joshua G, Jack K, Ethan R and James S are patiently awaiting the Sydney Softball Trials which have been rescheduled twice due to wet weather. The Sydney Cross Country Championships as well as the Sydney Rugby Union Trial will also be held.

Representative Sport Information

Thank you to those students who have trialed across various sports for this calendar year trials. Trialists were gathered based on the nominations received and those students who missed the opportunity were able to display their resilience and congratulate those who were selected. Details will be shared via compass and a paper note for any student attending a conference trial or beyond will be provided.
