What's On In 5/6

Buddies:
The Grade 6 students recently had their first buddy session, where they completed an “All About Me” activity together. It was a great opportunity for the students to get to know one another, and they really enjoyed discovering the many things they have in common.
Meanwhile, our Grade 5 students are looking forward to meeting their kinder buddies very soon. They have been busy creating a special craft to give to their buddies when they meet, and there is a lot of excitement building for the first session.
We are so proud of the way our Grade 5/6 students interact with and support their buddies. They show kindness, patience, and enthusiasm, and it’s wonderful to see how much they enjoy spending time together.
Garden:
We’ve been enjoying some lovely gardening weather lately, and the Grade 5/6 students have been making the most of their time outside. They have been busy doing some heavy lifting in the garden, clearing weeds and preparing garden beds ready for planting new seedlings.
We’ve also had a great harvest of cherry tomatoes, and the students were lucky enough to enjoy tasting some straight from the garden!
The students have also done a fantastic job cleaning the chicken coop and helping care for our chickens. Well done to the Grade 5/6 class for their hard work and teamwork in the garden!
