Welcome Year 7

Welcome to our youngest designers! Year 7 students have embarked on a delicious journey into the world of Food and Agriculture. They are learning about the importance of nutrition, food safety, and the impact of food waste in Australia. Through hands-on activities, students are discovering how to prepare healthy meals and understand the basic skills of cooking. So far, we have made fruit faces, brownies, fried rice and easter crackle baskets. Mooo-ving into next term, we will be welcoming some cows from Camden City Farm to the College to learn more about the dairy industry. 

Year 11 Engineering - Electric Vehicles - Special Lab Day 

Our Year 11 Engineering Studies students recently had an electrifying experience with a hands-on Electric Vehicle (EV) presentation. They not only learned about the principles of electric vehicle technology but also got the chance to design, build, and race their own electric cars. This practical approach allowed students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a fun and competitive environment, fostering teamwork and innovation. The excitement was palpable as students raced their creations, showcasing their engineering skills and creativity. Well done to all our budding engineers!

Shape Exhibition - Year 12 Design and Technology Excursion 

Our Year 12 students recently attended the prestigious SHAPE exhibition, showcasing outstanding works in Industrial Technology and Design and Technology, including our 2024 graduating student from 2024, Sienna Martin’s Design and Technology project (Second Act). Sienna’s Project is 1 of 8 Design and Technology projects displayed in the SHAPE exhibition this year, chosen from over 4000 participants in NSW. 

This invaluable experience provided our upcoming HSC students with inspiration and insight into high-quality projects. Additionally, they participated in a workshop by NESA, where they received expert tips and tricks for their Major Projects due in Term 3. This event has undoubtedly equipped our students with the knowledge and motivation to excel in their final year.
