Message from the Principal
St Peter’s School - an empowered faith community to enrich the world.
What a busy start to the year we have had! All students are now in the routine of school and are engaging in their learning. Our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) really serves us all well as we explicitly teach our expectations for behaviours in different areas of the school. Each dot point on our chart (see below) has a lesson attached to it so students know exactly what our expectations are. All staff consistently use the same language and follow the same routines. When we see or hear students following our PBL values, we award dojo points. These points can then be 'cashed in' for a reward.
Natasha Franchina, our Wellbeing leader, has outlined some more details regarding our PBL values on the 'Wellbeing page'.

Thank you to the P&F for running our Welcome BBQ on Friday 6 February. What a great atmosphere as families connected or reconnected. Please read our P&F page for details regarding the events planned for the year.
Congratulations to our students who have taken on Leadership positions in 2026.
At our assembly last week we presented our Year 6 leaders with their symbols of leadership - Year 6 jackets and badges representing their team.

We are very lucky to have a road crossing supervisor (Mary )on Mary St to help keep our students safe. We need parents to support us in ensuring everyone uses the crossing safely. We have noticed that some parents will cross Mary St without using the crossing. This is modelling unsafe behaviours for your child, so please use the crossing before and after school. The safety of our students is everyone's responsibility!

As we start the season of Lent, we ask God for self control as we endeavour to become closer to God through prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
God, help me be like you! Let your peace fill my heart. Let your kindness and gentleness shape my responses to the circumstances and people around me. Help me follow my anger to justice and clarity. Make my desires be for goodness and truth. Remind me that self-control is a gift, and please help me regulate my responses and impulses today. Amen
