Bags of Hope

Bags of Hope (Repeat)

The Joy of Christmas doesn't extend to all families across Tasmania.

Our Year 12 and 10 student leaders are supporting a Salvation Army initiative. The Salvation Army is asking schools and members of the community to help fill a Bag of Hope this Christmas.

A Bag of Hope provides a family with a Christmas meal and all those little extras that are so warmly welcome at this time of year. If you are able to help, please bring some non-perishable food items from the shopping list of items and place them in the box outside the School Office. A little from many will make a significant difference. Year 10 students will then pack individual Bags of Hope and deliver these to The Salvation Army Kingborough-Huon Corps in Blackmans Bay.

Your generous contribution will help make a real difference to people in need in our local community. Thank you.

Last Christmas, thanks to generous support from the community, The Salvation Army were able to provide assistance to over 975 families across Tasmania, including gifts for 2,016 children.

The Salvos are anticipating that there will be an increased need for support this Christmas as more people turn to them for help due to the rising cost of living.
