Learning Community 2

We are hard at work this term, getting ready for assessments. 

In Maths we have been learning a range of problem solving strategies to help us solve multiplication and division sums. Drawing diagrams, working backwards, using tables and the area method have been helpful strategies.

During Writing, we have done a narrative refresher where we revised the skills we've learnt to strengthen our writing. It was great fun rewriting a piece from earlier in the year, called 'Fruits Gone Wild'. We have made some good improvements in our descriptive language, paragraph use and sentence structure. 

Reading has continued on with non fiction features and skills. We have practised identifying the main idea and key details in texts, and this week we have moved on to summarising.
