Welcome back to another fun fill year with Year 1 & 2!
Stage one students have had a great start to the year of 2024. Year one has settled in well with a sense of excitement to be able to set a good example for SPSs new kindergartens. With teachers Ms Giamboi, Ms Kayello, Ms Leva, Ms You and Ms Kelly, our year ones have been strengthening their number sense and mathematical knowledge by using materials to represent our friends of ten.
Year two has arrived back better than ever with two new stage teachers, Ms Jelich and Ms Foo on board with Ms Kayello and Ms Pang. Year two has been focusing on what makes a good author by strengthening their sentences with nouns, preposition phrases, verbs and adjectives as they read the focus text, Under the Southern Cross.
Stage one is excited to work together as we continue to foster an inclusive and positive learning environment where students feel motivated and engaged. We look forward to working with families and communities to ensure our students excel in education and wellbeing.
