BUMPER CAMP EDITION NEWSLETTER!

Grade 5/6 camp to Sovereign Hill in Week 1, you say? What an INCREDIBLE way to start Term 3! Needless to say, we had an absolute blast. I was (as always) so proud of our fantastic humans, and they represented SFX with pride and respect. Here are a few of their highlights in their own words, and just sooooooo many amazing pictures! Enjoy

Braiden - "My favorite thing about camp was all of it! The highlight was the costume school there. When we were gold panning was one of my favourite things because I was looking for gold. The Grade 5/6L camp was great and the best!"

Jagger - "My favourite part of camp was chilling with my friends".

Summer - "My favourite parts of camp were sleeping, the food and the costume school".

Marsarlina - "My favourite part of camp was free time and costume school!"

Kaley - "Grade 5/6 camp was sooo fun and strict (because of the costume school teacher)! the best part of camp was the Aura Light Show and the costume school. I had so much fun, it was a camp to remember, one of the best camps ever!"

Allira - "My favourite part of camp was EVERYTHING because everything was so much fun".

Egidio - "My favourite part about camp was going to watch the soldiers fire their guns into the air".

Thomas - "The highlight of camp for me was acting. At first, Ma'am was extremely aggressive to her students. But when we were getting changed, she was soft-hearted and kind, showing you how good she was at her role".

Eva - "My favourite part of camp was shopping, because I love having a budget and getting all the things I want with it. A highlight of camp was also the Aura Show, it was amazing!!!!!!"

Mackenzie - "The best part of the 5/6 camp was having our free time and buying stuff with Esther, because it felt like we were in the 1850s".

Macey - "My favourite part of camp was the 3D movie before we went on the bus/train. It was really cool. A highlight of camp for me was when we got hot chips for dinner."

Willow - "My favourite part of camp was dressing up and watching footy at night. Also free time and Aura, because it was really fun and funny".

Valentina - "My favourite part of camp was when we participated in the costume school. In costume school we got to dress up as orphan children from the 1850s and we had to act like real life orphans. It was hard having to have my back straight all the time, but I really enjoyed it!"

Esther - "My favourite part of camp was when we got to do gold panning, because Mackenzie and I found lots of gold and she taught me how to do it. A highlight of camp for me was when we got free time and I had so much fun with Mackenzie trying new foods".

Olive - "My favourite part of camp was dressing up in the 1850s costumes and then walking down the street with the public excited, because they got to see 1850s school kids".

Jack - "My favourite part of camp was sleeping, because I was tired".

Lily - "My favourite part of camp was dressing up and acting out because it was so much fun acting and being like children would have been in the 1850s, during the Gold Rush".

Spencer - "The highlight of camp for me was gold panning and I found a golden nugget in my pan. I thought I was only going to find flecks, but luck was there with me!"

Lana - "My favourite part of camp was going shopping and spending time with my friends because it was really fun".
