Welcome back to Term 3!

I hope you all had a restful and refreshing break. We have an exciting and busy term ahead, with lots of wonderful learning experiences planned for the students.

This week, we kicked things off with our excursion, which the children were very excited about! Next week, we look forward to celebrating our faith together during Prayers in Pyjamas – a special event that’s always a highlight. Later in the term, the students will participate in swimming lessons in Week 6, which is a great opportunity to build confidence and water safety skills.

We can’t wait to see all the growth and fun that Term 3 will bring. Thank you for your continued support!

Inquiry- Then and Now

This term in Inquiry, students are exploring how life has changed and stayed the same through generations. They will investigate the past by looking at special objects, listening to stories about different places, and asking thoughtful questions. Students will be learning to use words like past, present, and future to describe events over time.

As part of this unit, students will interview a family member or someone from an older generation to find out what life was like when they were younger. Towards the end of the unit, they will use what they’ve discovered to create a short role-play comparing an aspect of life in the past to their own experiences today.

A reminder:

Just a friendly reminder that many students have not yet returned their Family Timeline homework task, which was sent home recently. This task is an important part of our Inquiry unit on how life changes over time and will be used during our End of Term Showcase.

We’re asking families to please support their child in completing this activity by helping them fill in the timeline sheet. Students are asked to include at least three significant family events such as:
