After a well-deserved break, we’ve jumped straight back into Term 4 with great energy and enthusiasm. It’s been wonderful to see everyone refreshed, motivated, and ready to make the most of the final term of the year.

Thinking Championships

What an amazing way to finish Term 3! Our final week wrapped up with the exciting Thinking Championships, where each group worked together to solve creative challenges and put their problem-solving skills to the test. Students showed fantastic teamwork, perseverance, and school spirit as they tackled each activity and cheered one another on. A big congratulations to Guyana, a country in South America, for taking out the top spot! It was an awesome effort that highlighted collaboration, communication, and determination.

Year 7 Swimming Program

We started Term 4 with the Year 7 Swimming Program, a great way to stay active, build confidence in the water, and enjoy learning outside the classroom. Swimming is an important life skill that promotes safety, fitness, and confidence around water. It also supports the Health and Physical Education curriculum, helping students develop movement skills and make healthy, safe choices.

Our Year 7s have embraced the challenge and shown great enthusiasm both in and out of the pool!

State Volleyball

On Friday, the 14th of November, 6 Year 7 girls will be heading to Dandenong to represent Kurnai at the State Volleyball Championships. We wish Annika, Eleanor, Heidi, Zoe, Vienna, and Shimmy the very best of luck and know they will make us proud on the court!

Around The Cohort

In English, we’ve been exploring short films and looking at how filmmakers use camera angles, lighting, and sound to tell stories. The films have sparked some great discussions about characters, culture, and emotions.

In Maths, we’ve been learning about geometry, including shapes and angles, and how these ideas connect to the world around us.

In Science, students have been discovering how things move and interact in physics.

In Humanities, we’ve been learning about business and economics, including how supply and demand works, consumer rights, and how businesses grow and change.

It’s been a fantastic start to Term 4, and we’re proud of how our Year 7 students have returned focused and ready to finish the year on a positive note.
