P&F News and Information

Thank You St Finbar's Community!
Following on from the P&F Meeting last week we are very excited to share that due to everyone's generosity we have raised approx $55,000 through the various P&F Fundraising events this year to date.
We cannot thank you all enough for your time, effort and donations - this is an incredible achievement - we are so very appreciative of the amazing support from the St Finbar's Community!
Here are some of the larger projects that the funds have been allocated to -
Decodable Readers - This is part of a project working towards replacing all of the Decodable Readers in the Junior Classrooms and we contributed $5000 to this (money was also allocated to this last year - it will take several years to replace all of the readers)
Generator - A generator was purchased that is available for use at school events
Weights for marquee's - new weights for securing the marquee's that are used at school events (to replace the leaking/torn sandbags used previously)
Library Shelving - some of the library shelving is going to be replaced and upgraded with special curved shelving that will allow for more space in the library
Basketball Ring/Backboard repairs/Replacements - the basketball rings & backboards in the playground have been replaced and the ones in the hall will be repaired
Shade - Mary Clare Playground
We have also set aside approx $25,000 which will be going towards a shade project on the Mary Clare Playground. $20,000 was set aside from last year's fundraising for this project and quotes are being finalised in the hope that this project can be completed over the end of year school holidays.
The project is looking at having a structure installed on the other side of the existing shade over the grassy steps area to create a larger area of shade in the playground.
Again - a huge thank you to our amazing community!
