 Deakin Campus Tours in April 

Experience your future campus and get the course information you need. Deakin’s tours are the perfect way to begin one’s university journey and to get a feel for campus life.  Students participating in a tour get to experience Deakin’s vibrant campuses and world-class facilities in a study area that interests them.  In addition, staff and students will be available at the course information expo set up.  Tours will depart daily from 9.00am – 3.00pm.

Holmesglen Open Day

Holmesglen Open Days are perfect for students exploring pathways, course options and wanting to learn more about vocational careers.  Students also get to tour the facilities, learn more about campus life, and chat in person with Holmesglen’s industry expert teachers.  All Open Day attendees receive a show bag to take home and enjoy a free BBQ.

Experience La Trobe

Experience La Trobe gives you the chance to experience Uni for a day by taking part in fun and dynamic workshops led by real lecturers. Students are invited to spend a day at La Trobe and see what life is like at the university, join in on workshops and activities in the areas of study that are of interest. Registration is essential so book a spot at Experience La Trobe - Melbourne.

ENGINEERING - MEG PROGRAM FOR GIRLS 

Monash Engineering for Girls (MEG) is a program open to all Year 9-12 girls with an interest in a career in engineering. Please direct your students to the following website for more information or to sign up. 

MEG students are invited to the first MEG event for 2024 on Tuesday 9 April. The Steam City Workshop is a collaboration with STEAM Engine co. More info here. (Students will need to sign up to MEG first and will then receive an invite for the STEAM event.) 

MYSci Program at Monash UniversityMYSci is a three-day science program specifically designed for students current Year 11 and 12 students.  The program has been significantly revised from the 2023 event, and so students who attended in 2023, can also attend in 2024!

This program schedule will include:

  • Hands-on workshops
  • Access to our brilliant teaching facilities
  • Opportunities to meet some of our Research Scientists
  • Exposure to potential career pathways
  • Activities with the Young Scientists of Australia
  • Social activities

Cost$120 per student.

 Photography Workshops in the April Holidays

Thinking about studying a creative course or would love to work in a creative career like photography. 

 

Photographic Studies College will hold workshops in the upcoming school holidays, and the sessions will provide students with practical and hands on experience of either studio photography or photographing on location and getting a sense of the wonders of street photography.  Students will be encouraged to experiment, explore creative visual approaches and work as a team in small groups! 

There will be tips and tricks on using light and much more and the workshop will finish with image reviews.  Students can use their smartphone or bring their DLSR camera if they have one.

 April Campus Tours 

In the April school holidays, RMIT will be hosting tours across each of its campuses - a great opportunity for students to find out more about their options after high school.   Places are limited, so students are encouraged to book in early! Browse Campus tours and register for the campus, day and time that suits best.

Interested in a career in sports medicine? 

 

This is a great opportunity for students to hear from clinicians working in Sports Medicine. Students will get an insight on what the job involves and how each clinician progressed in their careers to determine if it may be something they’re interested in pursuing.  The session is free and consists of 4 speakers. A physio, Massage Therapist, Dietitian and a Podiatrist.

  • A Day in the Life of a Swinburne Student Events 

Students are invited to go along to Swinburne’s Hawthorn Campus and have a guided tour, attend talks, presentations, and hands-on workshops in future study areas of interest – a very worthwhile way to feel prepared for Uni life.  These free events will run from 9.00am – 3.15pm, and the location to meet is Advanced Technologies Centre, Hawthorn Campus
