Colour Blast Run

The last day of Term 1 was one to remember, as Highvale Secondary College hosted its first-ever Colour Blast Run. Organised by our senior school captains, the event saw over 300 students, and many enthusiastic staff members, take part in an afternoon full of colour, fun, and celebration.

The Colour Blast Run was a fantastic way to recognise and reward the hard work and achievements of our students throughout the term. More than just a fun run, it was a vibrant display of school spirit and community connection.

Thanks to the incredible support of our school community, the event raised almost $3,000. These funds will go towards installing tiered seating on the basketball courts, a student-led initiative proposed by our captains.

A big thank you to all staff who supported and assisted on the day, and to the student leaders who helped with set-up and ensured the event ran smoothly. We look forward to seeing the Colour Blast become a new Highvale tradition!

House Cup

Dear Teachers, Students and Parents,

As we gear up for the upcoming House Cup, we need your support in an important preparation task – collecting newspapers!

These newspapers will be used in activities during the event, so your contribution is crucial. Here’s how you can help:

  • Gather as many newspapers as you can.

  • Drop them off in the tub at the front office during school hours.

Your efforts will help ensure our team is well-prepared for the House Cup.

Thank you for your support!

-House Captains

On May 21, the highly anticipated House Cup is returning!  Students will compete in their House groups across a range of activities, including Tug of War, Pictionary, Guess That Song and more. This is a compulsory day for all students.

The aim of the day is to foster House spirit, strengthen the sense of school-wide community, and engage in some friendly competition.

This will be a fun and exciting day for staff and students to strengthen friendships and develop new connections.

Students are to wear House colours or their PE uniform with House colours (eg. t-shirt in their House colour, socks, ribbons, wristbands).

House Points Update

Burrimul finishes Term 1 in first place on the House points ladder.

Leadership News

Thank you to the student leaders that assisted with sports days at Camelot Rise and Highvale Primary School this term and Term 1. These events have provided the opportunity for our student leaders to connect with both Primary school communities and develop their leadership skills.
