💼 Past Events
🔍 Morrisby Profiling – Year 9 Careers Exploration
All Year 9 students should now have had the opportunity to complete their Morrisby Profiling, which helps identify individual strengths, interests, and potential career pathways. For students who were absent, a catch-up session will be held shortly.
In Week 11, students and their parents will have the opportunity to attend a one-on-one interview with a Morrisby-trained careers professional to discuss the profiling results in more detail. This is a valuable opportunity to begin meaningful career conversations at home and at school.
🚌 Monash Tech School Excursions – Term 2 Highlights
We’ve had a fantastic start to our Monash Tech School (MTS) excursion program this term, including:
Future Solutions at the Exhibition Centre
Renewable Energies at Holmesglen Moorabbin
These hands-on experiences give students real insight into emerging industries and career opportunities.
Our next MTS excursion is scheduled for June, where selected students will visit the Bureau of Meteorology – a fantastic opportunity for those interested in climate science, environmental studies, and meteorology careers.
📣 Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest – a Compass event will be published soon with further details and permission forms.
Year 10 – Work Experience
In Term 1, Ms Egan and Ms Giles delivered a presentation to Year 10 students about Work Experience. If you missed it, don’t worry — the full presentation, along with all the relevant information, documents, and tips for securing a placement, is available on the Careers website.
Key Information:
When is Work Experience? Work Experience can be undertaken at any time throughout the year after you’ve completed the Safe@Work modules and submitted all the necessary paperwork.
Who finds the placement? You do! It’s your responsibility to find a placement that interests you, but the Careers Team is here to support and guide you every step of the way.
All Year 10 students are strongly encouraged to take part in Work Experience and start actively looking for a placement as soon as possible.
