Learning and Teaching - Ms Bridget Morris
Working in Partnership with Families
At St Bernard’s, we deeply value the partnership between school and home in supporting every child’s learning and wellbeing. This year, we have developed a clear approach to how we communicate and work together with families to celebrate progress, share learning and support each child’s growth.
The diagram below outlines the different ways we will connect with families across the year. These include learning snapshots shared through Seesaw, opportunities for families to visit classrooms and engage in learning alongside their children, Collaborative Learning Conferences where students share their achievements and goals, and formal progress reports aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
We also recognise that families know their children best. Opportunities during our Getting to Know You Chats, such as the ‘10 Things About Your Child’ (P–2) and student letters to their teacher (Years 3–6), help us build strong relationships and understand each learner as an individual.
Together, these opportunities create a cycle of communication that keeps families informed, involved and connected to their child’s learning journey. We look forward to continuing to work closely with you throughout the year.
