Religious Education - Ms Lesa Bush
Lent
As we enter the third week of Lent, we continue our journey of prayer, reflection and renewal. Lent reminds us to pause and think about how we can grow closer to God and follow the example of Jesus in the way we treat others. Throughout the school, students are being encouraged to show kindness, practise forgiveness and find small ways to help those in need.
Prep
The Prep students have been working with Miss Tess to learn how to make the Sign of the Cross. They are practising carefully and prayerfully as they grow in their understanding of this important part of our Catholic tradition. Miss Tess is also teaching them the school prayer, helping them to begin developing their own habits of prayer.
Holy Week LIturgy
The students are beginning to learn about and reflect upon the ‘Events of Holy Week’. Each year level will reflect on one event and reenact the event at a paraliturgy which will be on Monday the 30th of March at 2.30pm in the Hall.
The Foundation students will reflect on ‘Palm Sunday’, the Year 1/2 students will reflect on the ‘Last Supper’, the Year 5/6 students will reflect on the ‘Stations of the Cross’ and the 3/4 students will reflect on the ‘Washing of the Feet’.
Please put the date in your diaries, as you are warmly invited to attend.
Class Masses
It is 1/2T’s turn to attend Parish Mass this Friday 13th March and 5/6R will attend Friday the 20th of March. Everyone is warmly welcomed to attend.
