School Captains

Hello, Brookside. I’m Vishmi Gamini-Abhaya and I’m Dante Ford. We are your school captains for 2026! We have had a great start to the year and are looking forward to our roles as leaders in the school.

So far this year, we have been running the Prep to Year 6 assemblies every Monday morning. Running these assemblies has been a fun and exciting experience. Congratulations to all the students that have received an award so far this year. Well done.

We are looking forward to all the new things happening in 2026 as well. This includes the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) working party that we are a part of. This working party involves meetings that we get to attend. We have learned about all the hard work that is put into improving things around the school. Teachers, parents and us, the school captains, attend the meeting, and we all work together to share our ideas on how we can improve the behaviour at school.

We are also looking forward to all the upcoming events happening this year and we hope to have an amazing last year at Brookside.
