ITALIAN DAY CELEBRATION: MONDAY!

Save the date: On Monday 30th June (last week of term 2), we will be celebrating Italian Day with an incursion attending the school to entertain us and with a host of other activities. Lunch, (a bowl of pasta) will be provided to students on this day. If your child doesn't eat pasta they will need to bring their lunch.

On the day children are invited to come dressed in the Italian flag colours (verde-green, bianco-white and rosso-red) or they can dress-up as something related to Italy.  Some examples are a gondolier, gladiator, roman, famous Italian artist, Pinocchio etc. NO SOCCER PLAYERS PLEASE. Please do not go to a lot of expense, just use items you have at home.

In our lessons leading up to this day, students are learning about the different regions of Italy, providing valuable insights into the country's overall landscape, diverse geographical features, cultural differences and historical influences.

The students have also been learning the songs that will be included in the performance and most have engaged in these enthusiastically. I have attached the links so the children could listen to and share with you what they have learnt so far.
