Year 7

Term 3

As we move through the final term of the school year, it has been wonderful to reflect on all that our Year 7 students have achieved and how much they have grown since joining the College community at the start of the year.

Since the end of last term, our Year 7 students have been diligently practising for their performance at Presentation Night, and their hard work truly paid off. Last Wednesday evening, they opened the event with an outstanding performance that filled us all with pride. The students represented themselves and their families, with great enthusiasm and professionalism. It was a fantastic way to begin such an important celebration of achievement across the College. Many thanks to Mr Di Labio for all the practice time to ensure the Year 7 students’ success.

We would also like to take a moment to recognise two students for their exceptional dedication and effort throughout the year. Congratulations to our Year 7 Dux for 2025, Layla Boulter, and our Year 7 Proxime Accessit, Helen Manuel. These awards are a reflection of their commitment to excellence and their consistent hard work across all areas of study.

As the year draws to a close, our focus now turns to the transition into Year 8. Handovers to Heads of House will take place shortly to ensure a smooth and supportive start to next year for every student.

Meanwhile, preparations for Orientation Day for our incoming Year 7 students for 2026 are well underway. A full day of engaging and enjoyable activities has been planned to help our new students feel welcomed and excited about beginning their secondary school journey. Please note that all students should arrive outside the Brother Patrick Doolan Forum between 8:30 and 8:45am on Thursday 4 December, so we can begin promptly at 8:50am. Students are welcome to use the College bus service to travel home, or alternatively, they can be collected from the same location at 3:20pm.

As we move towards the conclusion of the school year, it is wonderful to see the growth, confidence, and maturity that our current Year 7 cohort has developed. I look forward to seeing them grow and achieve as they move through the College.
