School Cricket

Year 5/6

Our  Year 5/6 cricket team has had a fantastic start to the season, remaining undefeated so far. As a newly formed team, the players have done an excellent job learning how each other play and work together on the field. They have consistently demonstrated great sportsmanship, and we are incredibly proud of how supportive and encouraging they have been towards one another. A special thank you to Stanley, along with the two younger siblings, Dusty and Dexter, for stepping in on several occasions to help the team when needed. The team will have a break and reconvene in Term 4.

Little Athletics State Individual Championships

Lockleys North students delivered an outstanding performance at the Little Athletics State Individual Championships held on 21–22 March, proudly representing the Western Athletics Club. Across the weekend, athletes achieved multiple personal bests, reached finals in several events, and demonstrated fantastic effort and sportsmanship.

Highlights included exceptional medal results for Dexter T, who won gold in both the 400m and 800m events and secured a bronze medal in the high jump, and Cohen F, who earned a bronze medal in shot put.

Quinn N also impressed, achieving a PB in the 400m, making finals in the 100m, 200m and discus, and earning selection for the state team to compete at the Australian Little Athletics Championships in Brisbane this April.

Strong performances were also recorded by George B, who achieved PBs in the 100m and 200m, Charlie B, who placed 8th in the 800m, and Jude N, who achieved a 13‑second PB in the 800m along with PBs in the 200m and 400m.

Congratulations to all athletes on their fantastic achievements and for representing Lockleys North with pride.
