Week 10 Update!
Term 1 is nearly finished, and it has been a great start to 2026. As always, it has been a very busy and productive term, and we have been super impressed with our students' and teachers' engagement and enthusiasm.
Recently, we have had some incidents on the footpaths around the school involving pedestrians and cyclists. Students travelling to and from school on bikes or scooters should ride safely, be mindful of others, and slow down when approaching pedestrians. Showing courtesy and awareness helps ensure everyone can travel safely within our community.
Learning Conferences
Thank you to the families who have taken the time to participate in Term 1 Learning Conferences. Our success criteria for conferences were to:
Supporting families to know more about what their child should know and be able to do in relation to identified Learner Qualities, English and Mathematics
Sharing of learning at home and knowledge about their child
Discussion of strategies on how to support their child at home with goals
SFD
Could families please add Monday 11th May (Term 2 Week 3) to their calendars which is a Student Free Day. Further days will be confirmed early next term for terms 3 and 4.
M&S Fees - Due
M&S fees were due on 31st March, if you have not paid, please pay via QKR App, credit card or pick up a payment plan from the front office.
Camps
Just a reminder we have Year 5 and 6 students on camp next week. Mirjana and I will be attending the annual Year 6 Camp at Butlers Beach.
Anton will be the Acting Principal in our absence.
Many schools are beginning to move away from camps due to increasing costs, administrative demands, and more complex risk assessment requirements.
Similarly, the cost of running other excursions, including swimming and different learning experiences, continues to rise with increases in transport costs.
At LNPS, we see these experiences as a vital part of students’ learning and development. At this stage, we will continue with all planned programs while we monitor costs and explore future options to ensure they remain sustainable and accessible for students and families.
We wish everyone a lovely and relaxing Easter and holiday break.
