Swimming Carnival Age Champions

East Gippsland Lawn Bowls
A group of our Year 8 and 10 students travelled to Bairnsdale Monday to give the first East Gippsland Lawn Bowls competition a go!
We came up against Bairnsdale SC in a tight match played over seven ends. After picking up a few handy tips from Adam at the Bairnsdale Lawn Bowls Club, our students settled in and improved as the game went on.
Bairnsdale had a few students who play regularly, which gave them the edge, but our team kept building throughout the match and finished strongly.
It was great to be part of the first SSV lawn bowls event in the area. The students really enjoyed trying something new, learning different skills and meeting other students.
Thanks to Bairnsdale Lawn Bowls Club for hosting and Grant Sanderson (BSC) for organising the day.

It’s fantastic to see our students achieving success across the competition, whether that’s winning, finishing as runners up, or being recognised with individual awards.

A big well done as well to the Lakes Entrance Amateur Basketball Association for all of the work that goes into making the season possible, both on the court and behind the scenes. These opportunities don’t happen without the time and effort of volunteers, coaches and organisers.
