Hello parents, carers, and members of the College community,

I’m excited to be providing Careers Advice and support to students here at Wagga Wagga Christian College. In collaboration with other College staff, I look forward to partnering with you to support students as they explore their strengths, plan their pathways, and set themselves up for life beyond school.

As part of this role, we now have a dedicated careers email address: careers@wwcc.nsw.edu.au

Parents and students are warmly encouraged to get in touch for any careers‑related questions or support.

We can assist students and families with:

  • Career planning and exploring future pathways
  • University, TAFE, and vocational education information
  • Subject selection guidance and understanding NESA requirements
  • Apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities
  • Work experience programs and resume/interview support
  • Accessing resources, events, and information sessions
  • Participation in local Industry Taster courses

I’m looking forward to partnering with you to help each student make confident, informed decisions about their future.

Apprenticeships provide a career pathway for students to learn skills whilst undertaking paid work. This week we celebrate Marnie Douglas (Year 11) who has successfully obtained a Beauty Therapist apprenticeship with Sirona Beauty in Wagga.

Marnie will be studying online whilst undertaking full-time paid employment.

When asked about her chosen career, she replied “I’m passionate about women’s wellbeing and the importance of self-care. This type of job allows me to help others and make them feel better about themselves. There is also the bonus, that long-term you can work anywhere and set up your own practice.”

Congratulations Marnie, we wish you well for your future endeavours.
