Celebrating Rainbow Day

Rainbow Club members welcoming students

Colourful expressions of solidarity

We celebrated Rainbow Day last week with a free dress day for all students. Our Principal, Sue Harrap, hoisted the flag, as is tradition and we draped our rainbow colours from the main building. Members of the Rainbow Club, along with myself and Assistant Principal, Ciar Foster, welcomed students at the main entrance on the morning. Celebrations were marked during daily connect, and donations were collected, with all proceeds to be donated to Thorne Harbour Health, helping members of the Queer Community during COVID-19. 7J spent some time creating Rainbow Art, with special thanks to Christine Martin for facilitating this activity. Many thanks yet again to all involved, and we look forward to celebrating yet another Rainbow Day at NHS next year.
