Year 10 Art

Exploring the process of creating and exhibiting art

In our year 10 Art Industry course, we have worked in groups to set up our own art exhibition. We explored how professional artists work and the processes they follow to create, curate and stage exhibitions. In our groups we worked together to identify a common theme. The themes that were chosen were 'Does our Body have a purpose?',  'Surrealism' and 'Iconic'. We produced works independently based on our group theme, curated an exhibition, planned the layout, framed and organised the display.

Our group chose the theme Iconic. We chose it because we all thought it was a great topic to focus on as each person had a different view on what the word Iconic meant. We incorporated different mediums and techniques in each of our artworks, creating a variety of styles across the group. A common theme for our group was focusing on the 90s and 2000s era, painting and drawing Iconic stars from that time.  Zoe F
