Mother’s Day Preparations - Year 10 Hospitality - Tuesday 3 May

In preparation for Mother’s Day events at the College, the Year10 Hospitality boys have been hard at work behind the scenes cooking up a storm for the breakfasts scheduled for later this week. Under the guidance of Mr Gary Keown, they were also joined by special guest Ms Luisa Nodari (an accomplished Chef and Pasty Chef). Ms Nodari joined the team of boys to share her expertise of fine finishing the many delectable items being prepared. These mouth-watering pastries ranged from red velvet cupcakes with piped vanilla buttercream and fondant decorations, French macarons and chocolate chip cookies to name a few.

Another team of Hospitality students were assigned the task of boxing the cakes in specially ordered flat packs which made the pastries look very professional.

A big thank you to the army of students who prepared the breakfasts under the guidance of the College catering team and Mr Gary Keown on the three consecutive mornings. This was a very early morning for our students and the meals were arranged and delivered with poise and efficiency.

On behalf of the Hospitality Department, we would like to wish all Mothers a wonderful Day for last Sunday. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Ms Nodari for taking the time to share her expertise with us.
