RECENT AND UPCOMING FEAST DAYS

On Tuesday 17th March, the Feast Day of St Patrick was celebrated. St Patrick is a significant figure, as he converted thousands of Irish people to Catholicism across his 40 years of service. He is known for using the Shamrock leaf as a way to help explain the Holy Trinity to the people of Ireland.

Then, a few days after The Feast of St Patrick, on Thursday 19th March, we will be celebrating the Feast Day of St Joseph. St Joseph, as we know, was betrothed to Mary and was Jesus’ foster father. Most of what we know about St Joseph comes directly from the Gospels. St Joseph is significant to us as our local parish is named after him.
