Level Crossing Removal Project information

Thank you for your patience during the difficult times we have had with the works affecting access to school via both Neerim and Grange Roads. 

Yesterday after school a team from the Glen Huntly Level Crossing Removal Project came to St Anthony’s to answer any questions parents/carers had about the project, road closures or detours.

Please note that from Monday, 29 May, the Neerim Road crossing will be closed to pedestrians and vehicles and from Friday, 2 June the big dig will commence. It is important to plan how to get around Glen Huntly, and to and from school during this major construction activity.

Summary of Changes

• Glen Huntly Rd closed between Grange Rd and Booran Rd until mid July
• Neerim Rd closed between Grange Road and Booran Rd  from 29 May to late June
• Pedestrians may use the Yarra Trams replacement bus for free if you're not connecting with a tram or train service. Simply board the bus at a tram replacement stop (see map for location of stops)
• The bus stop for travelling to school is on the corner of Glen Huntly Rd / Booran Rd (for buses travelling away from the city)  The bus stop for the return journey is located on the corner of Watson Grove / Grange Rd (for buses travelling towards the city)
• The bus is unable to stop outside the school
• There will be no separate bus for the school students
