CAMPS, SPORTS AND EXCURSIONS FUND APPLICATIONS

The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund helps eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.

If you have a valid means-tested concession card, such as a Veterans Affairs Gold Card, Centrelink Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible. There is also a special consideration category for asylum seeker and refugee families.

Payment amounts are approx $225 for eligible secondary school students. Payments are made direct to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions and sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

If you applied for CSEF through our school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year, unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.

If you would like to apply for the first time, please contact the school office on 5655 1566 and ask for an application form.

You can also download the form, and find out more about the program and eligibility, on the Department of Education and Training’s Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund web page.

Check with the school office if you are unsure, and please return completed forms to the school office as soon as possible.

HELP WITH SCHOOL COSTS AND FEES

STUDENT PICK UP AND DROP OFF ZONE

For safety reasons, we have  a designated student pick up and drop off zone at KSC.  We ask that you respect the safety plan we have in place and only collect or drop off your child/ren within the loop (yellow line).

Parents are not to drop off or pick up children from the bus loop.

We thank you for your support in helping us to  keep our school community safe.

STUDENT DEVICES

To ensure that students come to school prepared for learning, please remind your child/ren to charge their devices overnight. It is important that students have a charger with them at school if their computer does not retain charge.

LOST PROPERTY

Lost property is located in the library.  Please come and ask us if you have lost or misplaced an item.

GOOD HYGIENE PRACTICES TO REDUCE THE SPREAD OF INFECTIONS AND VIRUSES:

Hand washing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of infections. You can spread certain "germs" (a general term for pathogens like viruses and bacteria) casually by touching another person. You can also catch germs when you touch contaminated objects or surfaces and then you touch your face (mouth, eyes, and nose).

Good health habits are important and include:

  • frequent hand washing with soap and water
  • using alcohol-based hand sanitizers when soap and water are not available
  • avoiding close contact with sick people
  • coughing and sneezing into your elbow or use a tissue (and throw away the tissue immediately)
  • avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth

BUS PASSES

A bus pass is required if you are intending to catch a bus that you do not normally catch e.g. going to a friends house or sports training.  Also a pass is required if you are getting off your normal bus at a different stop.

In order to get a bus pass , the bus coordinator must receive a note or a phone call from a parent/carer.  The Bus Coordinator (Ms Jenkin) is situated in the library and passes can be collected before school, recess and lunchtimes.
