CONGRATULATIONS

VICTORIAN SWIMMING TEAM

This week we received special news that two of our students have been selected for the Team Vic Swimming Team. These championships offer gifted and talented students the opportunity to participate in higher levels of sporting competition against students from other Australian States and Territories. 

Congratulations to Sophie McKenzie in Year 12 and Zac Sherar in Year 7 for their selections. In August the students will go to Brisbane for 6 days, competing in individual races and relay teams, supported by their families.

When asked about the opportunity, Sophie said she is looking forward to swimming in that pool, as she has never been there before, and meeting new swimmers. Sophie is training full time with her current swim club and expects that this will prepare her for the event.

Zac is pretty excited and grateful for making the State team. He is hoping to swim his best at the meet and try to get some PB’s.
