GREETINGS
FROM MS DAUPHIN
Greetings from Western Australia. I feel very lucky and grateful to have had this opportunity to visit especially Western Australia (I head to the Northern Territory next week) as it is not somewhere I have been before and it is indeed a remarkable part of the world.
Although missing everyone at Korumburra, I am having some amazing experiences whilst on leave – the highlight for me so far has been swimming with the whale sharks on Ningaloo Reef (see photo), followed by visiting Purnululu National Park and seeing the Bungle Bungles up close and from the sky. It is hard to imagine that they were only known to the indigenous people and mustering pilots prior to the mid 1980s.
Although exams are about to begin – I have been thinking of all the students undertaking this critical piece of learning/practice and wish you all well. Not to rub it in, but I am enjoying daily temperatures of 30 degrees plus. Victoria will be a shock to the system!
