Principal's Report
Dear Parents, Students and Friends of Nazareth
Two of our building projects have ended and will be officially handed over in the next few days. The tennis courts are complete, with all the surrounding landscaping now planted. In the coming month, we will introduce the School of Excellence in tennis, two mornings a week and lunchtime paid lessons for students wanting to improve their skillset. Lunchtime lessons will be for students wishing to have a 30 or 45 minutes lesson. The morning lessons will be on one morning for experienced players and the other morning for beginners. This will provide many of our students an opportunity to continue to improve their skill set free of charge. More information and registration will be provided in the coming weeks.
The last of the new toilets are also ready. There are two unisex toilets, three staff toilets and a cleaners room. This now completes the toilet renovations and provides our students and staff with new comfortable toilets for everyone.
Subject selection is well underway, and the formation of classes and staffing plans are now in progress. New staff will be interviewed and appointed by the beginning of next term to ensure that our students have the very best teachers and support staff for the future.
On Thursday 25 August 2022, I will have my formal summative review. This is normally conducted in the 6th year of a seven-year contract. Parents are invited to complete an online survey by clicking on the link https://forms.office.com/r/nw7CFfX2wN or requesting the link by contacting principal@nazareth.vic.edu.au. The review will also seek responses from staff, students and leadership team members.
Mr Christopher Bence – Principal Consultant (MACS Northern Zone), and Mr Anthony Banks – Principal at Padua College, will conduct interviews and complete the review.
In conclusion, I wish to introduce and welcome three new staff members:
- Nikki Goater – School First Aid Office
- Georgia Smith - Marketing and Development Officer
- Laura Conley – College Accountant
- Tung Phan - Maths teacher
We welcome them to the College and hope they will enjoy working within the Nazareth community.
God Bless
Mr Sam Cosentino
Principal
