2022 Australia Day Nominations - ONE WEEK TO GO! 

Do you know a member of your community who deserves to be nominated?

It might be someone who has made a significant contribution to your town,  a group or event  that has kept things ticking in your community or someone who has excelled in their personal pursuits.

Now more than ever we should recognise the amazing efforts of individuals and groups in the community- so we encourage you to nominate them for an Australia Day Award.

The nomination process is simple- you just need to tell us why they deserve an award. Easy

We are seeking your assistance to ensure deserving members of the Murray River Council community are recognised for there contributions and holding with the important role in the community your committee hold we hope you can assist maybe event nominate from within your committee.

Nomination are categories:

Citizen of the Year

Open to persons 26 years or older on 26 January 2022 who have made a significant contribution to the development and wellbeing of the community during the past year.  It also recognises outstanding community service and a contribution to the progress of our nation.

Young Citizen of the Year

Open to persons under 26 years of age on 26 January 2022 who have made a significant contribution to the community during the past year.  It recognises that this person epitomises the future of our nation.

Sportsperson of the Year

Open to persons 26 years or older on 26 January 2022 who have made a contribution to Sport in the local area.  The nominee’s efforts to advance their chosen sporting activity and their performance over the past year are considered.

Young Sportsperson of the Year

Open to persons under 26 years of age on 26 January 2022 who have made a contribution to Sport in the local area.  The nominee’s effort to advance their chosen sporting activity and their performance over the past year are considered.

Community Event of the Year

Open to the person or group who has staged the most outstanding community event during the past year.

Community Group of the Year

Open to a community group who have worked hard for the betterment of the community during the past year.

Arts/Cultural Award (person or group)

Open to the person or group who have made a significant contribution to the Arts and/ or the Culture of the Murray River Council area during the past year.

CLUB CRICKET REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN:

 

  • Local Cricket Clubs are currently taking registrations for the upcoming cricket season.
  • There is something suitable for boys and girls aged 5 and up.
  • Cricket is a great way to be active and make new friends

JUNIOR CRICKET SEASON 2021/2022

Echuca Cricket Club wishes to advise that registration is now open. We will be fielding teams in Under 16, Under 14, Under 12, Master Blasters age 7 - 10, Junior Blast age 5 - 7 and Junior Girls age 11 - 14. Registration is also open for our Senior Male and Female teams.
